Chili Red Skinnys

Well I couldn't wait to wear my new red skinny pants so Monday it was!  I've been on the hunt for a pair for a while but finally found them at Gap this weekend!  Check out my previous post to find out more about my deal on them! Let's just say, you need to fit in a trip! I love the zippers at the ankle, great detail!  Here are the pants, only thing is there is no red left online.

To go with the bright chili red pants, I went with a cozy sweater also from Gap.  The gray and black color block look went perfect with this pants.  For shoes I chose a pair of flats I picked up at Marshalls last spring by Tahari - their style went perfect with the rest of the look!

Tip: Get yourself a pair of red pants - its a must!

Touch of Animal Print

My color choices have made the fall transition - this look fell into the gray and greens. When you're wearing something that is neutral you need to spice it up with accessories! For this look I added shinny bright gold jewelry. That just wasn't enough so I wore my new pair of animal print flats! They went perfect with the color scheme and added a fun print. These were a great fashion find - $20 on clearance at TJ Maxx, they're Lucky Brand.

Pants - Marshalls

Tip: Get yourself some animal print - it's fun and adds the perfect kick to fall colors!

Summer White and a Pop of Coral

This look was one of my favorites of the summer so far!  You can't go wrong with white pants in the summer months, almost any top will look great!  For this outfit I wore skinny white jeans - almost like a legging - and paired a bright coral/peachy sleeveless top.  My favorite detail of this shirt is the sheer shoulders, I think it gives great contrast to the rest of the fabric.  Since this outfit is pretty bright on its own, I kept the shoes toned down for the office with a pair of flat sandals.  Although flat and a beige color, these sandals have a really cute cutout look!  To snaz it up a bit for going out later that night I simply added a pair of wedges for some height and style.  The color just so happened to match perfectly :)

I kept the jewelry simple with my go to silver necklace and this neat braided bracelet.  More to come on where I found it later :)

Where did my look come from?  My entire outfit (both shoes) came from my favorite store - what can I say, I am a Marshalls girl!

Splattered Skirt

It might have been a little chilly for my look today but I went with it anyway! Out of all the clothes I own, this skirt is probably one of my favorites! I love the design, splattered paint? It also reminds me of those fireworks that look like gold confetti falling from the sky - my favorite ones :)! The bronze buttons down the front give a little more detail and I also love the black elastic waist for contrast. This skirt came from my secret gem at the Jersey Shore... Lucky LadyIts located on the same boardwalk you see Pauly D and the Jersey Shore crew strollin' on. If you ever make a trip that way, its a MUST to stop in. When (not if, but when!) I open a store, I want it to look just like Lucky Lady. I love everything about it, from the clothes to the decorations! I'll be heading there soon for my annual summer shore vacation!

Back to the look for today... because I wanted the skirt to be the focus, I went with a plain tan T and a simple black sweater.  Sticking with the bronze on the buttons, I wore my gold jewelry - chunky watch and bracelets, and my go to layered necklace.

These shoes could not have matched better!  They're finally getting comfortable!

Casual blues and grays

Today I went with blues and grays.  I love this blue button up, the two chest pockets are my favorite details.  This was an Ann Taylor Loft find - of course on the sale wall!  To add some kick to it, I wore one of my favorite silver necklaces, its on the chunkier side but goes well because the shirt is so plain.  For bottoms I went with a pair of skinny gray pants and cute flats!  This outfit was on the plain side, but all worked well together!

Bright BLUE Dress

With beautiful weather for another day a dress was definitely on the list!  Today I pulled out a recent find from Marshalls, this simple but detailed bright BLUE dress.  I normally don't choose a blue like this but I loved it when I tried it on.  For a necklace I chose my thin shiny silver piece.  It went really well with the solid blue - stood out perfectly!  For shoes I went with my favorite flats from Steve Madden, simple black with some shine.  I swear heels and wedges can be more comfortable than flats.  Flats always eat my heels!

Don't you love the ruffles!

Tip: Don't be afraid to add some color to your wardrobe, especially with this beautiful weather!

You've seen this shirt before but I wanted to show you what it looks like on!  Perfect after work T for hanging out.  This was a one of my recent finds from the World of Dance show, its by Custom Junky - really cool stuff, check it out www.customjunky.com

Cuffed blazer and bold floral

I'm in love with my new blazer - read below to find out where I got it! - the subtle pin stripe and cuffed sleeves give it some style. I paired it with a bold floral shirt underneath, perfect for giving this look a little pop!  I love the fit of this shirt, scoop neck and fitted at the top and draped and flowy at the bottom. I added a long gold layered necklace and my everyday chunky gold watch.

For the bottom I chose gray straight leg corduroys and a new pair of cute Tahari flats. They were a $25 find at Marshalls!  I chose the fitted pants because the shirt is a little long and less fitted.

Tomorrow's weather looks amazing! I saw 87 degrees in the forecast for RI!

Robin Egg Blue - LA

Writing from Los Angeles, California tonight!  Sorry I didn't get a post in yesterday, after traveling from coast to coast it just wasn't happening.  Before my boyfriend gets here tomorrow, my sister and I wanted to get our shopping out of the way :).  With the warm weather here, its time for her Uggs to go away and cute sandals and shoes to come out!  We talked about where we wanted to go over lunch, of course Marshalls was in the picture and then her go-to, GAP.  We did't have great luck in GAP (FULL of bright colors though!) but weccrushed the shoes in Marshalls.  Take a peak below at what we found!  3 pairs, all very different, all under $30!

  • Tommy Hilfiger - Sandals
  • Libby. Edelman - Leopard flats
  • White Mountain - Gold boat shoes

LOVE these

While my sister was in class, I decided to pamper myself and get a mani/pedi - which I don't normally do. I haven't really used Yelp! before, but worked like a charm today.  It brought me to an awesome place - really cute inside, clean, and a great deals!  While I was waiting, I met some really nice people too, new friends!  I went a little bolder than normal on my toes - I'd call it robin egg blue! :)
I saw the color in a magazine on the plane ride here and loved it!

I haven't even mentioned our amazing lunch - Porto's Bakery & Cafe in Burbank.  If you're ever in this area, make sure its on your list.  Its FULL of mouth watering food!  Check out the pictures below...

I still had 3 minutes!

I had a family night with my mom, aunt, and cousin while we did some bargain hunting. Have you heard of Switch Flops?? I was always skeptical too when I first heard of them but now I'm a fan and owner of several pairs.

You can find them in many boutiques but i picked up my pairs in a local overstock store. Usually, the shoes themselves go for about $40, while I picked up a pair for $10. The fun part of these flops are the straps. Change the look of your flops to match any outfit. They have all kinds of designs, everything from basic and plain to dazzley and bright! The straps normally go for about $16, I picked up mine for $3! It felt like a treasure hunt, all of the straps were in a huge bin, and there I was fishing through. We were actually there right before closing when they literally started kicking us out. I only needed a few more minutes to look through the bin but they wanted to close up the store.  When I walked out the door I noticed they were closing up early and I really did have 3 more minutes on the clock till 9pm. Their loss, could have gotten more $$ from me.

Oh and check out my cute little flats, you can switch out the bow!  I didn't really have a chance to look at the clips that went on these, but I picked out a hot pink bow!

Take a peak at my finds! You need to get yourself a pair!
